Install Instructions

95.5-04 Toyota Tacoma and 96-02 Toyota 4Runner
Install:

• Begin by attaching the mounts to your lightbar using your original bolts that are provided with the universal flat-surface mounts, adding washers if necessary. The 40-42” mounts are angled towards the windshield. Neoprene washers can give extra grip to the inside of the mounts. Leave the lightbar bolts very loose until final alignment.
• Have a second person hold the lightbar and mounts above the windshield to the doorjambs.
• Slowly tighten the lightbar bolts to center it over the windshield with the lower portion of the mounts resting behind the weatherstripping, slightly above the rail that holds it in place. You will notice a metal seam in the door jam pointing to the top corner of the windshield, a common spot for aligning the upper edge of the mounts.
• Based on lightbar width, panel seam sealant on the body, or desired mounting height; the mounts may not rest completely flush with doorjamb. This can be resolved by cutting the excess sealant from truck or adding small neoprene washers behind the mounts.
• Double-check the placement several times and mark the doorjamb holes. Drill the holes and attach mounts and lightbar to the truck using threaded rivets, screws, or bolts. Leave them very loose for alignment.
• Hold the lightbar up to the mounts and slowly tighten lightbar bolts to the center of the windshield. There are dozens of lightbar styles and manufacturers, so if your lightbar differs from the recommended brand and dimensions, further adjustments may be required for best fitment.
• Use threaded rivets, screws, or bolts to attach the mounts to the truck. These can be found at any hardware store. We recommend .25" bolts, 1.5" in length with the threaded rivets for the cleanest install.  Check all of the bolts to ensure everything remains secure.

• Route the wiring harness down the doorjamb or through a separate hole in the roof or doorjamb.
